This is an appeal from a judgment in favor of defendants and against the plaintiff rendered after the granting of a motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict of the jury in an action for damages for personal injuries. Appellant also attempts to appeal from the order granting the motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict. There is no appeal from such an order.

At the time appellant suffered the injuries for which he sought damages against respondents, he was at work painting structural steel in the new post office building, then under construction, in Los Angeles, California; and…
