The claimant, Otto Mohr, about three o’clock in the afternoon of May 2, 1930, while in the course of his usual employment, slipped and fell into a ditch, variously estimated as 15 to 25 feet deep. As a result he experienced “pain in back, knee and everything.” He remained on the job until quitting time but did no further work. The next day he was taken to the Allegheny General Hospital. His back was not examined, but the physician found contusions of both knees and chronic arthritis. He was advised to apply alcohol and report back to the hospital. He visited that…
