Plaintiff-Appellant Betty Weigel appeals the district court’s grant of summary judgment to Defendant-Appellee Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee (“BHET”). Weig-el’s suit alleged that BHET violated the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (“ADEA”) by: (1) discriminating against her on the basis of her age in the terms and conditions of her employment while she worked as a nurse at BHET; (2) refusing to rehire her following her resignation on the basis of her age; and (3) refusing to rehire her in retaliation for her earlier complaints concerning age-based…
