Introduction

You have asked for an Attorney General's opinion concerning the operative date for judicial salary increases as provided in 2009 Neb. Laws LB 414, § 1. LB 414, § 1, among other things, amends Neb. Rev. Stat. § 24-201.01 (2008) to increase the salaries of the Chief Justice and judges of the Nebraska Supreme Court effective on July 1, 2009, and July 1, 2010.
