The sole issue in this case, which comes to us upon acceptance of a certified question from the *122United States District Court for the District of Connecticut,1 is whether a plaintiff, who seeks damages under the Connecticut Product Liability Act, General Statutes § 52-572m et seq., for injuries caused by an allegedly defective product, may also assert a claim under the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act (CUTPA), General Statutes § 42-110a et seq., for damages alleged to have been caused by the product seller’s deceptive scheme to misrepresent and conceal the product…
