This appeal is from a judgment entered in favor of plaintiff and against defendants in an action in unlawful detainer.
On September 1, 1923, the plaintiff was in possession of the whole of the Whitcomb Hotel building in San Francisco under a lease for a term of years from the owner thereof. On that date the defendants entered into possession of one of the stores on the ground floor of such hotel building as subtenants of plaintiff and continued in possession until ousted by the sheriff under judgment rendered in this proceeding in August, 1927.
