This action was brought to recover damages for the alleged failure of the defendants to execute a parol agreement alleged to have been entered into between the plaintiffs and defendants by which the defendants were to lease to the plaintiffs, for a term greater than three yéars, the plant of Hie North Carolina Steel and Iron Company. The cause of action as set out in the plaintiffs’ complaint is stated substantially as follows:
