Communication among lawyers is frequently expedited by the use of a few legal “buzz words” which attempt to describe a complex concept in an abbreviated fashion. Unfortunately, brevity sometimes results in a loss of clarity as to what is meant by the commonly used term. We have that problem here where we deal with the notion of “good faith” in the context of multiparty tort litigation.
