BOWMAN, Circuit Judge.
Jermaine Dana Saunders appeals from the decision of the District Court 1 to deny his § 2255 petition without holding a hearing. We affirm.
In 1995, after a six-week jury trial, Saunders was convicted of various federal crimes involving drug trafficking, firearms, fraudulent cellular telephone use, and attempted murder for hire, all related to gang activity in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, area.
