These are two actions of tort, tried together, to recover compensation for personal injuries received by the plaintiff when he was struck by a taxicab owned by the defendant Town Taxi, Inc., and operated by the defendant Clark. It was admitted that at the time of the accident the individual defendant, as agent of the corporate defendant, was operating the taxicab on its business.
