In these consolidated cases, we consider the extent of a union’s authority under the Agricultural Labor Relations Act (Lab. Code, § 1140 et seq., hereinafter ALRA or the Act) 1 to compel a worker’s discharge from employment, pursuant to a “union security” provision of a collective bargaining agreement, for the worker’s failure to maintain union membership in good standing.
