This proceeding was instituted by respondent, Jessie MacKenzie, to recover compensation for the death of her husband. On June 9, 1932, and for some years prior thereto Niel MacKenzie, deceased, had been employed by appellant, Oregon Short Line Railroad Company, in the operation of a generator plant in which acetylene gas was generated and conducted by pipes to the various shops of appellant company in its yards at Pocatello, Idaho.
