On December 24, 1934, J. A. Hardin and his wife exhibited their hill of complaint against the Bank of Grenada, J. M. Woodruff, and others, alleging that appellants, the Hardins, in January, 1920, secured a loan of $45,000 with 6 per cent, interest, from the bank, due January 2, 1921, and that the notes were secured by a deed of trust on a number of tracts of land in Calhoun county; that in January, 1921, there was a renewal of the principal sum of the original debt at 10 per cent, interest per annum, and a payment of $900 bonus for forbearance, or extending the loan.
