Memorandum: Defendant appeals from a judgment convicting him upon his plea of guilty of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree (Penal Law § 265.02 [former (4)]). Contrary *1292to defendant’s contention, Supreme Court properly refused to suppress the handgun seized by the police from defendant’s person as well as defendant’s subsequent statements to the police.
