This case comes before us by report under G. L. c. 278, § 30, after the defendant was found guilty. Specific questions of law are stated in the report.
Before considering those questions it is necessary to determine jurisdiction over the case. That lies at the threshold and must first be decided. Eaton v. Eaton, 233 Mass. 351, 364. Lonergan v.
