The Chancellor.

The foundation of this suit is a parol agreement, which is alleged to have been made by and between the defendant, John H. Vreeland, and Nicholas Vanduyne, since deceased, the father of the complainant. There was a general demurrer to the bill, which, after full argument, was overruled. The bill has been answered by all the defendants, and proofs have been taken, and the cause very ably and elaborately argued by counsel, on both sides, on its merits.
