In 1884, the Hannibal & St. Joseph Eailroad Company — a corporation organized under the laws of the state of Missouri — operated its passenger trains to and from the union depot at Atchison; it also received and discharged passengers at the depot. The Union Depot Company owns the tracks from the bridge over the Missouri river to the depot. The Chicago & Atchison Bridge Company owns the tracks upon the bridge.
