Arthur Trapp, twelve years and four months old, touched or took hold of the lower end of a hoisting wire attached to a pole and used in raising and lowering an arc light, operated by the Rockford Electric Company in the city of Rockford, on the evening of July 7, 1912, and received a charge of electricity which instantly killed him. He left surviving a mother, a father, who was in an insane asylum, and nine brothers and sisters.
