EVERETT, Chief Judge:

A general court-martial with officer members1 tried appellant on charges that he had carnal knowledge of Christina M. Smith in July, September, November, and December 1986, and February 1987; that he had committed sodomy with her in December 1986; and that he had solicited her to distribute marijuana in December 1986. Partyka pleaded not guilty to all charges *243but was convicted of sodomy and three offenses of carnal knowledge. These offenses were violations of Articles 120 and 125, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 920 and 925, respectively.…
