The Borough of Norwood (Employer) petitions for review of the order of the Workmens Compensation *159Appeal Board (Board) granting compensation .to Lawrence B. Wiker (Claimant). We affirm.

Claimant worked as a police officer for Employer. On February 6, 1983, at 5:10 a.m. when Claimant and his family were sleeping in their home in Norwood, a sniper fired several bullets through Claimants bathroom window at a time when Claimant would normally have been in the bathroom to prepare for his regular work shift for Employer.1 After the incident, Claimant continued to work…
