This case comes before the Court on defendants’ motion for summary judgment. Plaintiff Lewis E. Leftwich has alleged violations of 42 U.S.C. §§ 1983 and 1985 pursuant to the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution, as well as a claim under the Virginia Constitution. Leftwich maintains that his due process rights were violated when he was discharged while an employee of the state of Virginia. Defendants Joseph J. Bevilacqua and R.
