Mitchell, one of the defendants, are the children and grandchildren of P.D. Mitchell, deceased. The petition alleges that plaintiffs and G.W. Mitchell are the joint owners, by inheritance, from P.D. Mitchell and his predeceased second wife, of 80 acres of land situated in Claiborne parish, La., and described as follows:
