This is an action brought by the plaintiif against the Snyder State Bank of Snyder, Nebraska, to recover upon a certificate of deposit issued by said bank on April 29, 1926, for $500, due in 12 months thereafter, with interest at 4 per cent, per annum, no interest after maturity. The certificate became due April 29, 1927, and was presented for payment and payment refused; whereupon this suit was brought September 1, 1927.
