OPINION
LARSEN, Justice.
Raymond Casarez, plaintiff, brought this suit against Genaro Vasquez, M.D., and NME Hospitals d/b/a Sierra Medical Center (Sierra or the hospital), alleging that their negligence proximately caused his contraction of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Both defendants filed motions for summary judgment, on different grounds. The trial court granted summary judgment for both defendants, and plaintiff Casarez appeals. We affirm the summary judgment *362as to Dr. Vasquez, but conclude that summary judgment should not have been granted the hospital on statute of limitations…
