On January 24, 1964, a petition was filed with the county court of Douglas county to incorporate an area adjacent to the city of Roseburg into a city to be known as “City of Edenbower.” The county court, by order, set May 15, 1964, as the date for holding an election on the desires of the people of the area as to incorporation. The election was held and the proposal to incorporate was defeated.
