Wakefield and one Bradley were agents for the' appellant (defendant below) for' the purpose of selling its treasury stock, it being a life insurance corporation, and on August 16,1913, the agents effected a sale of fifty shares of the stock to E. M. Strong, at Hazard, Kentucky. They took from him in payment therefor this note: “Hazard, Ky., August 16, 1913.
