The transcript in this case embraces the record of two actions involving the same questions relating to the rights pertaining to two adjoining parcels of upland fronting upon the bay of San Pedro. One parcel belongs wholly to the plaintiff. In the other he has a one-half undivided interest. The southerly boundary of the two parcels is the line of ordinary high tide. The parcels are a part of a grant of land made by the government of Mexico prior to the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, and afterward confirmed by the United States, and known as Rancho Los Palos Verdes.
