MURRAY, Justice.

This case is before the court on the appeals of the defendants, Matthew Ferrara (Ferrara) and Steven Thompson (Thompson), from their convictions in Providence County Superior Court. Ferrara appeals from a conviction of one count of first degree sexual assault for which he was sentenced to life imprisonment; two counts of kidnaping, two counts of robbery, and one count of assault with intent to murder for which he was sentenced to twenty years for each count, the kidnaping counts to run concurrently and the others to run consecutive to the life sentence previously…
