At the annual election in the town of Bremen, in Cook county, held on April 6, 1920, John-Clarke, John Bettenhausen, H. Peetz and B. Deck were candidates for highway commissioner. William J. Fulton, Herman Seimsen and N. Jasinski were candidates for collector. On the canvass of the returns for highway commissioner the town board declared that Clarke had received 474 votes, Bettenhausen 487 votes, Peetz 77 votes and Deck 57 votes. Bettenhausen qualified.
