MEMORANDUM AND ORDER
MORAN, District Judge.
This is an action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 405(g) seeking review of a final decision of the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (Secretary) denying plaintiffs application for an open-ended period of disability and disability insurance benefits, 42 U.S.C. §§ 416(i), 423. The parties have filed cross motions for summary judgment; the Secretary urges affirmance of the denial of a continuing term of benefits and plaintiff seeks an award of his full claim.
