OPINION

BUSTAMANTE, Judge.

{1} This case requires us to determine whether Fowler Brothers, Inc. (Plaintiff) can recover damages for construction work it performed in Arizona without an Aizona contractor’s license. Plaintiff performed the work pursuant to a contract that purported to define Plaintiff as an employee instead of an independent contractor. Plaintiff brought suit in Grant County, New Mexico to recover damages from Horace Bounds (Defendant) for breach of that contract and for unjust enrichment.
