Walter B. Hamm appeals a grant of summary judgment in favor of Marvin T. Runyon, Postmaster General of the United States Postal Service (“Postal Service”). 1 Hamm filed a complaint against the Postal Service under sections 501 and 505 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S.C. §§ 791, 794a (the “Act”) and the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq., claiming that he was fired from his job at the Rock Island, Illinois Post Office because he was disabled.
