Brannon, President:

The Commonwealth of Virginia issued five grants -or patents for lands at their dates situate in Tazwell county,, now in McDowell county, one to H. A. Harman, Eras-tus F. Harman and Isaiah Smith for two thousand acres;; and one to the same persons for two thousand and two-hundred and ninety-five acres; which two tracts are-those involved in this suit. There were also issued three other grants or patents, one to Edwin L. Parker, Hezeldah A. Harman and John H. Parker for ' one thousand four hundred and twenty acres; one to Steven S-Taylor and H, A.
