OPINION

MICHOL O’CONNOR, Justice.

A jury found Rodney Gowans, the appellant, guilty of intoxication manslaughter and assessed punishment at 60 years confinement. We affirm.

Factual Background

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on an August day, George Sims (the complainant) was sitting in his parked car in the driveway of a private home located just off State Highway 30. The appellant was driving his car on Highway 30, when he suddenly veered off the highway and into the driveway.
