The claim made by the plaintiff was for the conversion of ■checks and drafts amounting to the sum of about $57,358.36. The plaintiff is a corporation created under the manufacturing laws of this state. A prominent object of its creation was the organization under its authority of electric light companies in other states and territories. It authorized two persons to ■organize such a company at Cleveland, in the state of Ohio. They succeeded in organizing the company there, with a capital of $1,000,000.
