The plaintiff brought this action to establish its ownership of, and to recover, two thousand eight hundred shares of the capital stock of Bellingham Bay and British Columbia Railroad Company, evidenced by certificate No. 67. The action was dismissed as to all of the defendants except American Bridge Company of New York, which claimed to hold said certificate and shares as a pledge. Under stipulation of the parties, the two thousand eight hundred shares of stock were sold for twenty-eight thousand dollars, and the purchase price deposited in savings banks to abide the final outcome of this…
