Plaintiff Betty Kane brought this action to procure cancellation of a deed executed by her to defendants J. J. Mendenhall and Grace Mendenhall, his wife, as grantees. In view of the fact that the property had been transferred to bona fide purchasers by the Mendenhalls, the court below awarded plaintiff damages in the sum of $2,500 and also exemplary damages in the sum of $2,000. The court also rendered judgment against defendant American Surety Company, surety on the real estate broker’s bond of defendant J. J. Mendenhall, for $2,000.
