In this appeal from the judgment entered by the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County, Plaintiff/Appellant Portside Investors (“Portside”) contends the court sitting as fact-finder in a non-jury trial erred in finding in favor of Defendant/Appellee Northern Insurance Company of New York (“Northern”) on Portside’s claim that Northern acted in statutory bad faith in investigating and failing to pay on an insurance claim.
