Introduction

Before the Court are Motions for Conditional Certification in two eases seeking collective action status under the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”), 29 U.S.C. § 216(b) (Creely Doc. Nos. 34-35; Conteh Doc. Nos. 26-29). 1 The cases present similar issues regarding Defendant employers’ timekeeping policy of automatically deducting thirty minutes from hourly employees’ timecards when the employee works more than a set number of hours (the “auto-deduct policy”).
