This cause is before this court upon a. bill of exceptions, setting forth numerous exceptions taken to-the rulings of a judge of the Superior Court in the course’ of the trial before a jury of an appeal from a decree of thm probate court of the city of Cranston, entered September 5,, 1913, granting the sum of $10,000 to Rosalie -M. Hopkins,, widow of Lyman R. Hopkins, late of said city of Cranston,, “for the support of the family of said Lyman R.
