SCHALLER, J.

The defendant, the planning and zoning commission of the town of Trumbull, appeals from the judgment of the trial court sustaining the appeal of the plaintiffs, Trumbull Falls, LLC, Old Mine Associates, LLC, and Richard Aiello, trustee, permitting the construction of a planned residential development. On appeal, the defendant claims that the court improperly interpreted the town’s zoning regulations. We reverse the judgment of the trial court.
