JOYCE, J.:

¶ 1 Appellants, Crown Equipment Corporation and Omnilift, Inc., appeal from the March 20, 2000 judgment entered in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County following a $3,843,253.29 jury verdict in favor of Appellees, David and Leontine Colville. Upon review, we vacate the judgment entered by the trial court and remand for a new trial. The relevant facts and procedural history of this case are as follows.
