This case is before the Court on the request of Zenith Electronics Corporation (“Zenith”) for approval of its Disclosure Statement and confirmation of its Pre- • Packaged Plan of Reorganization filed August 24, 1999 (“the Plan”). The Plan is supported by Zenith’s largest shareholder apd creditor, LG Electronics, Inc. (“LGE”), and the holders of a majority of the debentures issued by Zenith pre-petition (“the Bondholders”). 1 The Plan is opposed by the Official Committee of Equity Security Holders (“the Equity Committee”) and numerous shareholders,…
