In this contested matter in the jointly administered chapter 11 cases of Adelphia Communications Corporation and its subsidiaries (the “Debtors”), I have before me, for confirmation, the First Modified Fifth Amended Joint Chapter 11 Plan (the “Plan”) — a much-revised plan of reorganization for all of the 230-odd Debtors in these cases — now jointly proposed by the Debtors and the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors (the “Creditors Committee”), and bank lender agents…
