The defendant, Nipissing Mining Company, Ltd., appeals from a judgment in favor of the plaintiff.
The plaintiff, who is a mining engineer, was one of the organizers and first directors of Picacho Gold Mining Company, a corporation organized in 1934 in the State of Ohio, which will be hereinafter referred to as the Ohio company. He was appointed its general manager, and rendered sundry services to it, for which there was due to him on January 28, 1935, the-sum of $7,850; and on that date a note in his favor for the sum stated, due on or before one year from its date, was…
