People v. Williams

Appeal from the District Court, Tenth Judicial District, Sierra County. The defendant was indicted for killing one Samuel R. Eddy, at the County of Sierra, on the 4th day of July, 1866. He was sentenced to the State Prison by the Court, and appealed. The other facts are stated in the opinion of the Court.

The defendant was indicted for murder, tried, and convicted of manslaughter.
The exceptions taken at the trial all relate to the action of the Court in giving and refusing instructions.
