BRITT, District Judge.

On 7 April 1995, plaintiff Karon Ann Par-ham, filed a complaint against defendant alleging copyright and trademark infringement, and related state law claims. Plaintiff proceeds pro se. The primary issue in the case concerns the use of the word “crystal” to describe a soft drink beverage. Plaintiff contends that defendant illegally appropriated this word without compensating plaintiff. Defendant, on the other hand, answers that plaintiff does not have a valid trademark or copyright to the word “crystal,” nor could she have obtained such a trademark or copyright…
