Before BOOCHEVER, C. J., and RABI-NO WITZ, CONNOR and BURKE, JJ. CONNOR, Justice.

This appeal concerns impeachment of a defendant’s testimony by evidence of a pri- or felony conviction.

Jon Edward Lowell, whose apparent true name is Raymond Daniel McClusky, was convicted on a jury verdict finding him guilty of two counts of embezzlement. Lo.well was the trainee manager of a movie theater in Ketchikan. His duties included making night deposits of theater receipts at a bank.
