John Hildahl (Hildahl) appeals the summary judgment dismissal of his personal injury lawsuit against Gregory Bringolf (Bringolf) for injuries sustained while repairing the roof on Bringolf s house. Bringolf had hired his renter, Daniel Hildahl (Daniel), as an independent contractor to repair the roof. Daniel hired Hildahl to help, but failed to pay the state-mandated industrial insurance premium to cover Hildahl’s work.
