The plaintiffs in this case seek a declaratory judgment of invalidity and nonin-fringement regarding the defendants’ patent, No. 5,396,074 for “Irradiation System Utilizing Conveyor Transformed Article Carriers” (issued March 7, 1995), and a claim under the common law for unfair competition.
